1 quart milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut in pieces
1 cup enriched white hominy grits, quick or long-cooking
1 teaspoon salt
Heat milk to boiling. Add butter; then add hominy grits gradually, stirring constantly. Bring to boiling and boil 3 minutes, or until mixture becomes thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add salt.
