Do foods have labels that list the number of calories, the fat content, and other nutritional information? What is the daily diet like in the United States of America?

Yes, almost all foods have labels that list the nutritional value. I think most Americans could care less about how they eat. A lot of them want to be fit but they make excuses why they can’t be. Fast food is REALLY popular and a lot of people eat out quite often. But not all Americans are like this. I love working out and eating healthy and there are several Americans who enjoy doing this also.
It kinda makes me mad when I see people eat like pigs and then complain that they’re fat. Or when they say “I’ve tried every diet and nothing works!” when in reality they just took some pills without changing there eating habits expecting to lose 10lbs in a week or two. Most Americans could be fit if they really wanted to. I know there are people out there who can’t help their weight do to health conditions (my mother-in-law is one of these) but all the others can help it.
I know I get kinda crazy on this subject but it really bugs me. lol
Yes food has labels and surprisingly some people dont understand what it all really means. I am sure it is like any other country. Yes they concern themselves with diet and probably most of them but on the other hand a majority of them also are to unmotivated, lazy, and have no care or will power to do anything about it. they just think that better for you food sucks.
Work in restauraunts and eat everything enough and none of it is that amazing in my opinion. many refer to it as the SAD diet or the standard american diet and it is supposed to follow the food pyramid which i find incorrect. I would say the standard american diet is full of well everything bad. Almost all meals have a meat, usually a refined carb like bread or starchy food, and high fat. Lower on fruits and veggies. Hard to speak for everyone though. Many americans eat out daily also
I do not think people in general have a clue. I see what people put in their shopping cart. I see what known diabetics eat. I see what people put into their bodies at home. Actions speak louder than words. I have gone to a healthier diet simply because it is cheaper and tastes better.
I also eat junk food after I eat what I am supposed to. Food labels have the information on basic macronutrients. The food pyramid suggests a reasonable diet. The food pyramid for the Medeterraninan diet and the vegetarian diet is also available. The information is readily available for free.
Lets put it this way.. 90% of the people are unhealthy.. the other 10% take good care of themselves. Most people eat fast foodT, sodas etc…
There are labels on everything, but it does not usually stop people. A lot of people either emotionally eat or emotionally do no eat (anorexic)
